Specializing and Celebrating through art…THE HORSE!

I was a little girl who obsessed with the dream of having my own horse. I collected Breyer Model Horses, watched Western Shows on television (just for the horses), played with toy horses, read books, clipped magazines and I even pretended being a horse! This passion however was loved and expressed deepest through my art.

As a teen I was blessed with a season of many Quarter Horses, Appaloosas, and various other types of horses giving me life lessons and adventures. I learned so much from these wonderful animals, each one a gift from God.

I am horseless now, in the second half of my life, and I still adore horses and find great joy in painting them. I am blessed, surviving a STROKE in June 2015, that I did not lose my ability to create art. I need to paint horses. It is my purpose and it gives me happiness. I use watercolor and ink together for an illustrative style and acrylics on canvas for a painterly result. Both mediums are my favorite way to express my love for my subject, THE HORSE!
